Paypal is not safe anymore!?

The present economic environment is very bad. Inflation expands and the prices of all basic needs such as food are increased. At the same time, a lot of layoffs happen around the world and a lot of peoples are unemployed. All these cause the rapid increase of fraudulent internet activities.

Details:
01. The buyer opened a dispute to Paypal on 22 Jan 2009
02. The buyer never contacted us what's happened to his parcel before he opened the dispute
03. On the same day(22 Jan 2009) the buyer opened the dispute to Paypal, we immediately phoned to Canada Post to track the parcel and then emailed back to the buyer about the status. However, the buyer did not reply any of our message
04. The buyer ended the communication with us and escalated from the dispute on 23 Jan 2009
05. We sent message to Paypal regarding to the status of the shipment on 23 Jan 2009
06. Canada Post showed that the item was successfully delivered on 26 Jan 2009 and we sent the message to Paypal on the same day about this update
07. Paypal requested additional information from the buyer about this case on 06 Feb 2009
08. Paypal made a decision in favor of the buyer and reversed the money from our Paypal account
09. On one hand, Paypal sent us the message about their decision on 08 Feb 2009 and told us we could appeal the decision if disagree. On the other hand, Paypal did not allow us to appeal their decision and we had to phone them twice
10. The first time we phoned to Paypal on 08 Feb 2009, they told us two hidden sections in their User Agreement which could not be found in the User Agreement on our Paypal account. Now they updated their User Agreement without notice us
11. We sent all information to Paypal on 12 Feb 2009 regarding to this email order, On 22 Feb 2009, Paypal has concluded that they are in favor of buyer and cannot grant our claim appeal. We are very disappointed about their decision.

If you are doing online business, just be very careful to all purchase orders. Under any circumstance, we highly recommend you to ship by a shipper with BOTH delivery confirmation AND signature. Either FedEx Express or UPS Express is a good choice. The shipping fee would be higher but worth it and could prevent the lost as less as possible.

Paypal always update their User Agreement. If your company accept Paypal as payment, make sure you fully read & understand their User Agreement and any update of it.

Canada Post, the largest shipper in Canada which offer varieties of mail services as well as competitive low-priced shipping methods, is unfortunately not on US-based Paypal's shipper approval list because there is no signature option available for shipment to U.S.A.(Regular, Expedited and Xpresspost)
