The Ausf.J was the final production variant of the Panzer IV, which served the German Army reliably throughout WWII. Produced from 1944, it was built for defensive battles and simple production. It was armed with the same L/48 75mm main gun as the Ausf.H and had a close defensive system. The electric turret traverse system was replaced by a manual system and an extra fuel tank, and the Schurzen armor from the Ausf.G was retained.
